After we arrived at the hospital, there were 23 of us there just pacing the floor and waiting for Dylan to arrive. Ethan was anxious to get there to see his sister. He didn't want to know any of the gross details, but he forgot about all of that once he became Uncle Ethan and was able to hold his little nephew.
Amy did so well with her labor and delivery. We were all quite impressed! Tom was able to be in the room with Amy & Curtis when she delivered the baby. He wasn't sure how he would feel about being a grandfather, but now he is so excited and will never forget this experience.
It's hard to believe that we are grandparents. That sounds so weird. But, it is slowly sinking in and we are so glad that we live close enough to her now that we could be there for everything. We will at least have 9 more months to spoil the little one before we have to move to the next Air Force destination.
We were the last ones to leave and then it was just Amy, Curtis, & Dylan. Now reality sets in....they are parents now. Wow. Hopefully they will enjoy every second and be the best parents they can be. Congratulations Amy & Curtis! Life has just begun!
