On the way to the gym this morning, Tom and I were trying to remember all of the good things that happened in 2008 for our family. Since it is sometimes so easy to forget the good things in life, I felt it was important to make a list. Not to mention that I think it is important to make lists for just about everything. Here we go...
1. Amy graduated from high school.
2. Ethan was accepted to the University of Alabama. (Sorry Tom...looks like we may be chanting Roll Tide the next few seasons)
3. Tom was selected and sent to ACSC at Maxwell AFB.
4. Our grandson, Dylan Ethan Beck, was born on September 6th.
5. We were all healthy.
6. We have been able to spend more time with our family and friends.
7. We made new friends that will be lifetime friends.
8. Amy was accepted to Troy University.
9. I've been able to go to lunch with my best friend Kay every week.
10. Tom and Brandy were able to go to the Iron Bowl together.
11. I had a relaxing break from work. (6 more months to go!)
12. Ethan has given us no problems.
13. Tom and I celebrated 7 years of marriage.
14. I turned 30...and wasn't upset about it.
15. We were able to rent out our house in Virginia, since we can't afford to sell it yet.
I'm sure there is something I'm probably missing, but the point is that it was another good year. Thanks to God for always working things out for the best, even when we think we have everything figured out. And thanks to all of our friends and family for making 2008 better!
HAPPY NEW YEAR!
